recognizes that businesses experience challenges in finding qualified,
available workers. We assist in making successful matches
between businesses that need workers and workers who seek
employment.
- The Center provides one-on one staffing and Human Resource
Assistance and referral resources for business and economic
development services.
- The Center serves as a local workforce delivery system
partner through its coordination with WorkSource System,
Center partners, Employers, Local Workforce Investment
Boards, Economic Development Centers and LA City Business
and Community Development Departments.
El Proyecto's WorkSource Center is prepared to offer business

- Customized Training
- Training Courses and Other Program Information
- On-the-Job Training Services
- Rapid Response Pre-Layoff Orientation
Logistics Goods Movement Occupation Sector Training

Business Development Workshops & Assistance:
Information provided and services by the Los Angeles City and Los Angeles
County Business Development Teams, VEDC/SBDA, Valley College, and SBA.
Retention Assistance:
- Short-term financial assistance to newly hired workers for
transportation, minor medical care, necessary uniforms, and/or work tools.
- Workers enrollment in education and training courses including those to
improve English proficiency or other work-based basic skills.
- Referral of employers and workers to a full range of social, health
and other services.
Tax Credit Information:
- Work Opportunity Tax Credit Program offered by the State of
California Employment Development Department.
